Review by Brian McLean
Luca Turilli is a name that is easily recognizable among the music fans that take their creative metal seriously and take note of who is who. Turilli’s a highly respected guitarist, songwriter and founding member of the Italian symphonic metal band Rhapsody.
The guitarist completed his most recent solo release titled Infinite Wonders of Creation thus bringing the trilogy he started in 1999 with King of the Nordic followed by Prophet of the Last Eclipse to a conclusion.
Turilli called upon Mother Nature for topic and subject matter for the material that not only has him tending to his normal guitar duties but also has Turilli expanding his talents onto the keyboards.
The supporting cast for Infinite Wonders of Creation remains the same. Turilli has added guest vocalist Bridget Fogle who brings forth peaceful mid and high tone range vocals on selected tracks at various points in the disc.
Fogle’s vocal contributions on “Mother Nature,” “Altitudes,” “Silver Moon,” and “Cosmic Revolution” not only enhances the existing material but also presents a broader range of variety on the release.
Turilli has completed his trilogy in majestic form leaving fans wondering just what could he possible embarked upon next solo wise.
