Review by Brian McLean

To pacify listeners while waiting nearly three years for the release of their fourth full length release, God Forbid has issued a five song EP titled Better Days through Century Media Records.

The EP features five cuts, two of which are new, the title track “Better Days” and the song “Allegiance.” The demo versions of “Wicked” from the album Determination and “Reject the Sickness” from the same disc are followed by the song "Mind Eraser” from Out of Misery.

The disc is a brief history of God Forbid more than anything else. There is a definite difference between the song and production quality of “Better Days,” which will be the first video, and “Allegiance” when compared to the other three tracks. The two give fans a taste of what should follow with the full length, Gone Forever.

For a five song EP there's a high quality album cove. It features a concrete cross wrapped in vine under falling snow. At the foot the cross, there's a red rose giving symbolism that there is hope.

As for the inside, no band photo, just the standard band line up and credits with the insert folding out into a two-page panel close up photo of the rose.

The disc makes a nice piece for signatures with a black sharpie on the mainly white background. Obtaining graphs from band members should be no problem. They're approachable, fan friendly and very grateful for their fan support.

The disc retails for 3.99, is not a must for fans, but for the price there should be no excuse to not purchase a copy.
