Review by Hawk Chavez
I was delighted to get my hands on this Austin based band’s CD. I have heard great things about them but never had the chance to experience their approach on Metal Rock.
Their recent eleven-track album, “Rise”, is filled with realistic, soul-seeking lyrics. My top favourite is “Generations”, from the beginning this track grabs you and does not let go. It is a mordant story that builds throughout the song, expressing madness; in your face, get a grip-this is how it really is such intense vocals, livid guitars and drums. The highly powerful rage continues in the self-titled track “Rise”.
Who doesn’t love the band, New Order; Anew Revolution took on the challenge of doing a cover of New Order’s song “True Faith” and NAIL IT! -- (hearing this song took me back to the first time, I went to see New Order at their Glastonbury show; having done, this the band has proven there is, basically, nothing they cannot achieve.
